CCYO Basketball 2009 - 2010 Rules - Boys 2nd/3rd & Girls 2nd/4th

Rules for Boys Grades (2-3)

Girls Grades (2-4)

  Coach and 1 assistant and players only on the bench.

1. Un-sportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. All coaches, players and spectators will abide by the decision of the referee. Coaches, assistants or players leaving the designated coaching area during a disputed call will be subjected to a technical foul.

2. 20 minute running clock each half. The clock will only stop on substitutions ,time outs, and a short time for the referees to line up foul shooting.

3. NO pressing

4. Teams will be required to play man to man defense

5. 5 second lane violation

6. No score will be kept, and no fouls will be recorded. When a foul is committed the ball will be taken out of bounds, unless it was done in the act of shooting. The offensive player will then be allowed to move 3 ft closer to the basket.

7. Each player will be required to play a minimum of 8 minutes per half.

8. A 27.5" diameter ball will be used for all 2nd-3rd and 4th grade games

CCYO RULES FOR 2009-2010

                               Rules for the 2009-2010 CCYO season for all grades except Boys 2&3rd and Girls 2,3&4th can be found in the Handouts section of this website.

                       Changes to last years rules are as follows:

                                           - Boys 2&3rd and Girls 2,3,&4th- Now will be using a 27.5" diameter basketball

                                           - Boys 4th- Cumulative games scores will not be kept this year. The score will be reset to zero at the end of each quarter

                                           - Boys 5th- There will no longer be playoffs at this level
